and age, as prescribed below, for recruitment to the post of Navik {Domestic Branch (Cook & Steward)} in the Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force of the Union.
Navik General Duty (02/2019 Batch) (Domestic Branch)
As Navik (Domestic Branch) for posts named :
(A) Cook
(B) Steward
Educational Qualification : 10th Class with 50% marks in aggregate from a board of Education recognized by Central / State Government.
Physical Details:
Height – 157 cms
Chest – Min Expansion 5 cms
Weight – be proportionate in accordance with height & Age index.
Hearing – Normal
Physical Fitness Test Criteria:
Running – 1.6 Km Run in 7 Minutes
Squat ups (Uthak baithak) – 20
Push Ups – 10
Job Roles & Responsibilities:
For Cook : They are required to prepare Food according to menu decided, have to maintain accounting & check on Ration & work for the efficient running of the organization.
For Steward : They are required to serve food in the Officer’s Mess as waiters & have to supervise and maintain an accounting of funds, Wines & Stores, Menu preparation, etc.
Age Limit: 18 to 22 years as on 01 Oct 2019 i.e born between 01 Oct 1997 to 30 Sep 2001, both dates inclusive. (Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates).
Age Relaxation (Upper Age Limit):
SC/ST – 27 Years
OBC – 25 Years
Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on Written Examination, Physical Endurance Test, Medical Test
