With the implementation of Lockdown-2 in mind, keeping in view the future needs, the government has decided to acquire 20 per cent beds of 6 private hospitals for the treatment of Kovid-12 patients as required.
In Gujarat, more than 15,000 patients and more than 750 patients undergoing treatment have died due to coronavirus infection in two months. Now that the implementation of Lockdown-2 has started, keeping in view the future needs, the government has decided to acquire 50 per cent beds of 6 private hospitals for the treatment of Kovid-12 patients as required. However, he clarified that for the time being, the government will keep patients in its hospitals, but as it will be needed in the future, it has already arranged treatment at private expense in private hospitals.
On this occasion, Patel said that at present in this new building of UN Mehta Hospital, all the facilities for treatment of 6 patients, facilities like oxygen points, ICCU, ventilator and dialysis have been set up.The remaining two floors of the building will also be ready in a week. The director of the hospital, Dr. R.K. Patel and his team have made all the necessary arrangements.
