44 lakh workers will get a pension of Rs. 3000 per month.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched new three pension schemes for the sector. Farmers, traders and workers will benefit from new these pension schemes.
Among them, registration in PM-Shramayogi Mahadhan Yojana (Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Man-Dhan) is the highest.
As of August 3, 44,27,264 people have joined.
While the farmers plan has half of its people joined. As soon as they reach the age of 60, farmers will get a pension of Rs 3,000 per month.
If the beneficiary receives a pension and dies, 50% of the amount will be given to his spouse as a pension.
Pension schemes will benefit farmers, traders and workers
Prime Minister Modi launched the scheme on March 5, 2019 in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
While the registration for this started from 15th February.
The scheme is the largest daily wage and pension scheme for unorganized sector workers.
Individuals working in the organized sector or Employees Provident Fund (EPFO), National Pension Scheme (NPS) or State Employees Insurance Corporation (ESIC) or income tax paying members cannot avail of this scheme.
The scheme is for those earning less than Rs 15,000 per month. The scheme is for 42 crore workers in the country.
Top 5 states with nominations
Haryana workers leading in agriculture as well as industry have registered maximum under this scheme.
So far 8,01,580 people have joined it. The second number is Uttar Pradesh, where 6,02,533 people are registered.
The third is Maharashtra where 5,84,556 people have joined. Gujarat is fourth with 2,07,063 nominations and Chhattisgarh is fifth with 3,67,848 workers.
Who will benefit?
Household servants, drivers, plumbers, cobblers, tailors, rickshaw pullers, laundresses and farm laborers will be able to take advantage of this.
The premium will be Rs 55 to Rs 200 depending on the age. The government will add that much money.
These documents are required for profit
Mobile number with Aadhaar card, savings or Jan Dhan account and IFSC number. The age for registration under this should be from 18 to 40 years. You can register at the nearest General Service Center (CSC).
