Gandhinagar: There is an atmosphere of panic among the people due to Corona and parents are very eager to open schools. In this context, there are indications that the Vijay Rupani government has decided not to open a school for children from Std 1 to Std 5 even after Diwali. State Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama has given this signal and it has brought good news for parents amid the Koro epidemic.In a webinar between Education Minister Chudasama and school administrators, Chudasama had hinted that schools would not be open for children from Std 1 to 5 even after Diwali.

According to the information received, schools for students of standard 9 to 12 will be reopened after Diwali vacation. Consideration is also being given to allow children of standard 6 to 8 to come to school even in rural areas.

Jatin Bharade, vice-president of Gujarat Swanirbhar School Board of Directors, said that in the first phase, 9 to 12 schools will be started. Later, if the situation is brought under control, opening of small classes will be considered.
