Emergency Approval sought by which multinational company for approval of Corona vaccine in India?
US multinational Pfizer has sought emergency approval to launch the corona vaccine in India. The Indian subsidiary of Pfizer, an American pharmaceutical company, has applied to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (DCGI) for formal approval for emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by it.
Pfizer, a US multinational company that is to be vaccinated in Britain from next week, has sought emergency approval to launch the corona vaccine in India. The Indian subsidiary of Pfizer, an American pharmaceutical company, has applied to the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (DCGI) for formal approval for emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by it.
Pfizer has requested emergency approval in India, as its Covid-19 vaccine has received similar emergency approval in Britain and Bahrain. If approved, the corona vaccine will arrive in India in the first week of January.
In an application filed with the drug regulator, the company has sought approval for import and distribution of the vaccine from the US in India, official sources said. Apart from this, under the special provisions of Drugs and Clinical Trials Rules, 2019, it has also requested to allow clinical trials on people in India.

Britain had emergency approval on Wednesday for emergency use of Pfizer's Covid-19 vaccine. Bahrain became the second country in the world, after Britain, to receive emergency approval in this way on Friday, formally approving the emergency use of the Covid-19 vaccine developed by pharmaceutical company Pfizer and its German partner Bioentech. Pfizer has also applied for such approval in the United States.
