In the first phase, the central government has set a target of vaccinating 300 million people by July 2021. Preference will be given to health workers, frontline workers and people above 50 years of age. The new Lok Sabha-Vidhan Sabha election voter list will be used to confirm the age.
Registered people will be tracked through the Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network system Covid. Registration can be done on the website on the basis of ID like voter identity card, Aadhaar, driving license, passport. Only those who have already registered will be vaccinated on the spot, there can be no registration on the spot.
Registration for vaccination will only be on the Co Win app. Can be uploaded by the Union Ministry, State Government and District Administration. In addition, people over the age of 50 who have an illness can upload their information.
States have been asked to allocate vaccines from a single vaccine manufacturer in a district so that different types of covid vaccines cannot be mixed in the field. Arrangements will be made to protect the vehicle carrying the vaccine, the vaccine bottle and the ice pack from direct sunlight.
The vial will only be opened when the person arrives for vaccination. After the vaccination session is over, all unopened vaccine vials will be kept in ice packs and taken to the distributing cold chain point.
