After December 31, in the new year from January 1, if you do not have a driving license or any other document related to four wheels, you have to be prepared to pay a fine of up to Rs 1,000. So far, the deadline for vehicle-related documents has been extended several times across the country, including Gujarat, due to the Koro epidemic and lockdown.
The central government had extended the deadline for licenses and RCs till December 31, but it will not be extended now so that the driver has to keep the vehicle documents with him while driving, otherwise he has to be prepared to pay a fine if found guilty.
Currently, the work of renewing vehicle related documents has been started in all RTOs of the country. People can update the document by applying online. The central government had extended the deadline for renewal of documents like fitness, RC, permit, driving license etc. till December 31, 2020.
Anyone can apply by going to the website www.parivahan.gov.in, in which selecting that state will open the link of that state, in which the required details have to be filled. The biometric of the person will be checked in the RTO and the document will be verified. According to the new motor vehicle rule, if a two-wheeler or four-wheeler driver does not have a driving license, Rs. A fine of up to Rs 5,000 can be imposed.
Due to the lockdown, all the state government offices in the state were closed due to the lockdown, especially the offices where customers were moving, which led to the suspension of registration and licensing of new vehicles in all the RTO offices in the state.
The central government had then announced a new advisory deadline of July 31, which has been extended to December 31, but now it is unlikely to be extended.
