Russian-made corona vaccine arrives in India, special cold storage set up at airport.
The first batch of Russian-made Corona vaccine Sputnik Five arrived in India. Special care was taken to maintain cold chain in the transportation of this vaccine.
Special cold storages were set up at the airports in the capital New Delhi and Hyderabad for storage of the vaccine. The vaccine was shipped from Moscow in a blue container. A constant cold chain was maintained during all transportation from Moscow to Delhi. The cold chain was maintained in such a way that the vaccine is protected at a certain temperature.
Special containers were designed to keep the vaccine at a temperature of two to eight degrees. The container was sealed after the vaccine was filled.
The containers of the vaccine were loaded onto a special hydraulic lift at the Moscow airport and landed at Delhi and Hyderabad airports in cold storage.
