Vehicle owners alert, FASTag will be mandatory on all vehicles from January 1, find out where to get and what is the price.
Giving cash at a toll plaza while on the highway often becomes a traffic problem, but now it will bring you great relief. Because, from January 1, it has become mandatory to install FASTag on all vehicles. Toll on the highway will now be levied through Fastag. Then no cash will be taken from anyone on the toll. At present 80 per cent of the vehicles on the highway are charged through vehicle fastag. The central government's goal is to increase toll collection. At present, the daily revenue from tolls is Rs 93 crore, which the government will increase to Rs 100 crore.
What is FASTag?
FASTag is a tag and sticker affixed to the front of a car. So the scanner at the toll plaza on the highway scans the device with the radio frequency identification (RFID) technique from the sticker on the vehicle and the money is recovered from their bank account depending on the location. This is very convenient. There is no need to stop the vehicle at the toll through it. If Fastag is not linked to a prepaid account or debit / credit card, you will need to recharge it.
FASTag can be found here
If you have not yet affixed a FASTag sticker to your vehicle, you should affix it soon. You can buy it from PayTM, Amazon, Snapdeal etc. It can also be made available through 23 banks in the country. Apart from that, it is also sold at the Road Transport Authority office. FASTag is sold and operated by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) through its subsidiary Indian Highway Management Company Limited (IHMCL).
This is the price
According to NHAI, FASTag costs Rs. In it you can recharge at least 100 rupees. This will work as long as Fastag scans on the scanner.
