Covishield and covacin vaccines for corona virus have been approved in the country. Both vaccines are made in India, while these two vaccines are much cheaper than other corona vaccines made in the world.
Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said that in addition to 11 million doses of Covishield from Serum Institute of India, 55 lakh doses of vaccine are being procured from Bharat Biotech. He said 5.5 million doses of the vaccine were being procured from Biotech. Out of 38.5 lakh doses of covacin, each dose will cost Rs 295 (inclusive of tax).While India is offering Biotech 16.5 lakh doses for free, which will cost Rs 206 per dose. While the Government of India has purchased serum from the Institute of India at Rs. 200 per dose. The price of this vaccine of Rs 200 does not include tax thus the price with tax will be Rs 210.

Rajesh Bhushan said that all the vaccines except Pfizer vaccine can be kept at a temperature of two to eight degrees Celsius.
