The government has drafted the Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Research Act in 2020. The legal age of smoking has been raised to 21 years under Article 6, one of the major amendments. According to the research, no person will be allowed to sell or offer cigarettes or other tobacco products to anyone under the age of 21 and within 100 meters of an educational institution.
