Standard 12 exam: will be taken as per current system, exam will start from 1st July: Education Minister Bhupendra Singh Chudasama.

- The OMR method will be examined in Part 1 in Science
- Descriptive examination will be taken in Part 2 in Science
- A descriptive examination of 100 marks will be taken for three hours for normal flow.
As per the decision of the Chief Minister, this year's annual examinations of Std-12 Science and General Stream conducted by the Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will be held on Thursday, July 1 in the usual manner. The high-level meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, took this important decision after detailed deliberations on holding Std-12 board examinations in the special circumstances of the current Koro transition in the state.Addressing the media, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama said that discussions have been held with the Chief Minister regarding the standard 12 board examination. After which it has been decided that the board examination will be conducted by the existing method. The standard 12 science stream examination will start from July 1, 1 lakh 40 thousand students will appear for the examination.
Giving details in this regard, Minister of Education Bhupendrasinh Chudasama and Minister of State for Education Vibhavari Dave said that a total of 6.83 lakh students from Std-12 Science stream and 5.43 students from General stream will appear in this examination.
He said that the Chief Minister had instructed the Education Department in this meeting to conduct the Std-1 board examinations which are important for shaping the future careers of the students of the state with strict adherence to the Kovid-12 protocol in these special circumstances of Koro transition. The Minister of Education said that this examination will be conducted every year as per the established system of Science Stream Part-I with 50 marks Multiple Choice Type (MCQ) OMR method and Part-II Descriptive Written 50 Marks Examination for 4 hours.
