Big News / Strict implementation of night curfew in 36 cities of Gujarat, curfew will be in the state from 6 pm to 6 am from May 6 to May 12.
Curfew limits are being met in 29 cities in the state. The decision was taken at a meeting of the core committee at Gandhinagar. The meeting also imposed night curfew in Deesa, Ankleshwar, Vapi, Modasa, Radhanpur, Kadi and Visnagar, seven more cities in the state. Thus 36 cities will have night curfew from 6 to 12 May.
The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani. Health front secretary Dr. Secretaries including Jayanti Ravi were also present.
All essential services will continue during these restrictions. Grocery stores, vegetable, fruit, medical stores, milk parlors, bakeries and food shops will continue. All industries, manufacturing units, factories and construction activities will continue in 36 cities. Attendance of 50 per cent staff in private offices-Mandatory masks and compliance with the rules of social distance will be checked by the GST department offices.
As per the other decisions taken in this meeting of the Core Committee regarding the guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India, in these 36 cities from 6th May 2021 onwards. The State Government has issued orders to continue only the required services / activities during the period till May 12, 2021. The service directly associated with the operation of COVID-19 as well as the services associated with the essential / immediate service will continue. Medical, paramedical and allied health services, oxygen production and distribution system will continue.
The state government has ordered the continuation of dairy, milk-vegetable, fruit-fruit production, distribution and sale and its home delivery services so that normal life in these 36 cities is not disrupted and normalcy is maintained. The vegetable market and fruit market will continue. Services for grocery, bakery, sale and distribution of all types of food items, grain and spice grinding bells, household tiffin services and hotel / restaurant take away facilities will continue.
