Indian Railways has issued an alert for passengers taking train journeys. Incidents of train fires have been observed many times. In view of these incidents, the Railways has issued an official notification to the passengers. In fact the railways have shown this strict attitude for the convenience and safety of the passengers.

Railways has posted information for it on social media. Railways tweeted that you should not carry flammable material while traveling in a train and do not allow others to do the same. This could lead to legal action as well as jail time.According to the West Central Railway, spreading fire or carrying flammable material in a train is a punishable offense under Section 164 of the Railway Act, 1989, for which a person can be imprisoned for up to 3 years or fined up to Rs 1,000 or both.

According to a railway tweet, passengers can no longer carry kerosene, dry grass, stoves, petrol, gas cylinders, matches, firecrackers or anything that spreads fire in the train compartment. The railways have shown this rigidity to make the journey of the passengers safer. The railways have issued a stern warning to passengers.
