The number of people taking both doses of corona vaccine in Gujarat has now crossed 3 lakh. The population of legal age for vaccination in Gujarat is 2.5 crore. Out of this, 2.18 crore vaccines have been given in one dose while 2.15 lakh people have taken both doses of the vaccine.
In Gujarat, 12.5% of the legal age group is fully vaccinated. Maharashtra topped the list of states with the highest number of people receiving both doses of the vaccine with 20.50 lakh, followed by West Bengal with 2.50 lakh and Gujarat at third. Gujarat ranks fourth among the states that have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Among these states, Uttar Pradesh is at the forefront with Rs 2.50 crore, Maharashtra is at the second position with Rs 3.50 crore and Rajasthan is at the third position.
From Gujarat, 1.15 crore people in the age group of 15 to 6, 4.5 lakh people in the age group of 5 to 20 years and 4.5 lakh people in the age group of 60 years and above have been protected from corona vaccine. The rate of vaccination is 10% higher in males than in females in the state. This includes 13 million men and 12 million women. From Gujarat, Ahmedabad city has the highest number of vaccinations at 4.5 lakh and Dangs has the lowest number of 202 vaccinations.
