MORBI: This farmer grows there a gooseberry bigger than coconut, people fall down

However, while talking to Maganbhai Kamaria, who cultivates gooseberry in Jabalpur village of Tankara, he said that he decided to cultivate gooseberry in Thailand and brought about 2000 seedlings of gooseberry from Raipur, Chhattisgarh and planted it in a field of 3 bighas. Revenue is also going up.
Most of the farmers in Morbi harvest crops including cotton, groundnut, wheat, millet every year and they always complain that they are not getting compensation for the amount of labor they put in. However, according to a farmer who earns a jumbo gooseberry from that bush by bringing about 3,000 seedlings of Thai gooseberry to date, it costs him a maximum of Rs. Against this, more than one lakh revenue is being generated till date.
It is said in Gujarati that "the fruit of patience is sweet". Instead of taking immediate crop for the first two years, the farmer had to cultivate the crop for two years. Due to the large size of this gooseberry seedling, this farmer is currently getting a crop of gooseberry weighing more than 200 grams on an average. Gooseberries have also been planted by Morbi farmers. In particular, this farmer from Jabalpur village in Morbi district in Rajkot, Jamnagar, Delhi and Mumbai is sending Thai fruit.
