Zee Media / Bureau: As per the direction of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, decisions have been taken touching more than two lakh teacher families. The Education Minister said that ten years ago, rules were framed regarding the transfer of primary teachers. The Chief Minister of the state Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel has given directions to make important changes in the rules with full sympathy regarding the representations made by the unions of primary education for change in these rules.
Till now 8% of the vacancies in that district were given the benefit of district reshuffle to 80% of the teachers which will now be given the benefit of 100% vacancy of 58 districts.
Provision was made to be the hometown of the teachers concerned in district fair interaction and district internal interaction transfer.
Teachers who have been appointed on the condition of working in one place for 10 years will be able to apply for transfer even after five years.
Spouses of government employees who are transferable from one district to another in the state may be deputed if they have a primary teacher or head teacher in a government school.
From now on, the benefit of spouse's case will also be available in the case of grant aided institutions, public enterprises of Gujarat, government companies of Central and State Governments.
A grievance redressal committee was constituted for redressal of grievances in case of transfers
State Education Minister Jitu Waghan said that the state government has taken important decisions regarding the transfer rules of state legislators, primary teachers and headmasters to safeguard the interest of students' education, the interest of teachers and the administration which will benefit more than two lakh teachers.
Elaborating on the historic amendments made in the rules for transfer of teaching assistant, primary teacher and head teacher, he said that all the teachers who have been transferred so far but could not be dismissed due to vacancy of more than 10 per cent, have been released as a special case. Has been decided. In a school where there is a school with zero teachers due to dismissal of replacement teachers, the last eligible teacher will have to be dismissed only when a new teacher arrives. This decision will also apply to all teachers who have been replaced and not fired in the last three years.
The Minister added that the rules for transfer of primary teachers were fixed by the resolution dated 6/06/2018. New rules have been prepared by the state government keeping in view the interest of recognized teachers associations as well as teachers. According to the new rules, instead of the 60 per cent vacancy teachers in the district who were given the benefit of district relocation till now, according to the new rules, the benefit of 100 per cent vacancy in that district will be given.
