Universal Account Number: Forgot EPFO UAN number, check again this way
Universal Account Number i.e. EPFO's UAN is very important for those who are employed. People working through UAN can check their Provident Fund (PF) account. If you forgot your UAN, we are telling you how you can recover it sitting at home.
The Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has issued separate UANs for all its subscribers. It is 12 digits like the base number.
Many times you forget it and because of that you face problems. If you have changed company and your PF account is the same then you have more problems. In that case, you can get your lost UAN number back at home without visiting the old company's office or PF office.
Here are the steps you need to take to recover a UAN number:
Step-1: Go to the official website of EPFO.
Step-2: Select Member ID and Aadhaar or PAN.
Step-3: Now enter the required details like name, date of birth, mobile number and e-mail id etc. as per EPFO records.
Step-4: Click on Get Authorization Pin.
Step-5: You will get a PIN on the number registered with EPFO.
Step-6: Enter PIN and UAN number will be found on your mobile number.
UAN recovery even from missed-call
Make a missed call to 011-22901406 from your mobile number registered with EPFO. After this you will receive an SMS from EPFO. The SMS will contain all the information related to your PF account.
