Rajkot: Skin donor before meeting Gujarat's first skin bank, know what benefits this bank will get?
Rajkot: Gujarat's first skin bank has got its first skin donor. Project chairman Amit Raja's 81-year-old father Nandalal Raja passed away and informed the skin bank. And the royal family was the first to become a skin donor. Specially treated skins were taken from the skin bank after 6 hours of death.
The bank has received 18 units of skin from Nandlal Raja's skin donation. Which will prove to be a boon for many burn patients in the coming days. It is important that currently the skin donated by Nandalalbhai has been quarantined by Skin Bank. A cluster report of these skins is being reported which will be long-time storage after reporting.
Let us tell that this bank has been built by the Rotary Club of Rajkot Greater. This skin bank is the 18th skin bank in the country. This bank will prove to be a boon for burn patients. After taking the skin from the dead body in this bank, it will be kept in a freezer at a temperature of minus 80 degrees. The special thing is that it can be used up to 5 years after taking the skin. This will relieve burn patients from dressing and pain.
